Blog: We turned 1!
Who would have thought that we would be able to not only have our ideas out as tangible creations but it would be well-received by the community around us? Our solutions and creations have brought back the fun and meaning of learning. We pushed boundaries every time we launched our projects.
How does it feel to turn 1?
As a company with limited manpower, funds, time and exposure, our hopes remain soaring high, and we are completely blown away!
If you have followed us all along you know, our very humble beginning. One that is fanned by passion, hard work and laser-zoomed focus.
If you are new, let me first take some time to welcome you and invite you to hover over to our social media pages if you haven't already. That way, you get to keep us accountable if we don't deliver excellent results, apart from enjoying all our content, of course!
Who would have thought that we would be able to not only have our ideas out as tangible creations but it would be well-received by the community around us? Our solutions and creations have brought back the fun and meaning of learning. We pushed boundaries every time we launched our projects. We thoroughly examined and re-examined our creations. We read, discussed, researched and looked at our creations in a multi-faceted manner: How would our favourite and greatest critique-the children react? Would it be affordable and doable, could it be carried out by inexperienced and experienced parents and educators?
Was the journey easy, nope. Certainly not.
But was it worth it? Every single moment.
We heard incredible reviews, we saw countless smiles, and we heard stories of renewed hopes. Parents were encouraged and committed to investing in their children, educators were pumped and inspired, and the children were engaged, everyone loved it! And to only think we made this much of an impact within the first year, how rewarding!
But this also meant that it was non-negotiable that we take some time to say thank you and celebrate alongside you before we stepped out into another exciting year ahead. And that is exactly how we will be celebrating our first-year milestone.
We decided to pull out all stops and stay true to our beliefs, supporting and rewarding you for doing your bit! And once again, your support amazed us, and for those of you who haven't already reached out to us, it isn't too late! What does the future look like for thefirst8? With a tag that says "Make it Count" that's exactly what we intend to do!
We have several upcoming collaborations with some of the finest leaders in the Early Childhood Care and Education field and highly sought-after experts from complementing fields to help us come together and bring fun, innovative, high-impactful and researched-based solutions. Similarly, we are also fortunate to put together some Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshops for early childhood educators. These workshops are designed to help educators not only improve their knowledge and skills in the process of teaching and learning but to bring back the fun and meet the emotional and mental needs in an engaging and meaningful manner. More on these in the coming days.
All in all, we will be bold and loud to journey alongside you to ensure that your little ones' first eight years of life are well-supported and most importantly, are filled with meaningful encounters that leave a positive impact that lasts for a lifetime.
